Hi guys,
I hope you had a fabulous weekend. Mine went by in a blur but all I know is it was way too hot. I am melting!
Time for the next prompt of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.
The prompt this week is nude. I love nude polishes and nail art with nude but for some reason I was a bit stumped. I started by grabbing a few nudes, leaned towards doing a gradient and then suddenly an idea was born. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Head to taupe on my pinky and 1 coat of China Glaze – Bourgeois beige on the rest of my nails. Once that was completely dry I did a sponged gradient on my middle, ring and index using China Glaze – Bourgeois beige, China Glaze- Fresher than my clique and China Glaze – Head to taupe. Once the gradient was drier I did the leopard print using Essie – Penny talk and China Glaze – Give me s’more for the borders. I topcoated everything and that was that.
I really enjoyed wearing this but when I am looking at my photos something feels off. I am not sure if I love it as much now. I think it is the brown leopard print border that throws me off. It didn’t look as bad when I was wearing it but now it looks off. I don’t hate it either so….What do you think? I do like the metallic pop of penny talk though and a nude gradient is always a win for me.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
I like it! But I can see what you mean with ‘something off’.
I can’t really put my finger on it, so I guess I’ll be staring at it some more 😉
