Hello lovelies,
Wow! This week has just flown by! I hope you have had a good one. Mine was so busy I don’t even remember anything about it. All I really know is that is is weekend and I am ready for it.
It’s time for the next instalment of My polish, your plate. Joyce and I will be challenging each other every first and third Friday of the month. One of us will pick the stamping plate and the other will pick the polish. If we don’t have the exact same polish / plate it can be substituted for something similar. This choice will be made by the person who picked. From there it is free reign as long as the polish and the image on the plate is main focus.
This time it was my turn to choose the polish – OPI – Never a Dulles moment – and Joyce chose the plate – BP-13. I got very excited when I saw the combination. I immediately had quite a few ideas. I actually originally wanted to combine it with shades of grey but when I looked back I realised that I have been using grey everywhere lately. So I came up with something different. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of OPI -Never a Dulles moment on my pinky and 2 coats of Dollish Polish -Push-pop it real good on the rest of my nails. While that was drying I went to work on the stamping. I stamped the image using BP-13 and Mundo de Unas – Back. I then coloured in little sections using OPI – Never a Dulles moment and Color Club – Harp on it. Once it was all dry I applied this to my index and middle finger. I topcoated and that was that.
I actually really enjoyed the peekaboo holo from this so I took a photo with flash to try and show it off a bit.
I really enjoyed doing this. I am a little worried that I ‘broke the rules’ a bit and didn’t use enough of the chosen polish. What do you think? Is the yellow prominent enough? What do you think of my combination? Of course, I have a swatch for you as well.
OPI – Never a Dulles moment
This is 2 coats of a yellow creme. This is a dusty but very yellow creme with a really nice formula and opacity. It’s a little different from a lot of the other yellows I have and the nice formula definitely helps.
What do you think of our choices this week? Pop over to Joyce to see what she came up with.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
This one just screams Easter to me, it’s so cute!
And I think the yellow was very prominent in that very last picture ?
