Hey lovelies,
Did you have a good weekend? I must be honest, if it wasn’t for this blog I would have no idea what day of the week it is. It’s a crazy time and the lockdown is really starting to feel quite long. I really hope people are taking this seriously. Anyway, I hope you’re ok. Reach out if you need to chat. I am here.
Time for the next prompt of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.Image
The prompt this week is scrollwork and it is one of my favourite prompts. That obviously doesn’t mean I had a million ideas. This kind of just fell together. I started off with the base polish I wanted to use and I just played around till I found something that kind of worked. Let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of OPI – Seven wonders of OPI on al my nails and left that to dry completely. I then stamped on my index and middle finger using Lina – Twirls & swirls 01 and first Mundo de Unas – Velvet for the solid sections and then Mundo de Unas – Bronze for the twirls. I used Lina – Make your mark 03 and Mundo de Unas – Velvet to stamp solid colour on my pinky. I topcoated everything and then went in with a matte topcoat.
I definitely got it right with the colour palette I had in mind but I am not sure I nailed it with the scrollwork part. What do you think?
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Love it! The combination of colors, the matte top coat, the scrollwork… love it! ❤️
