Helo lovelies,
I hope you had a fabulous week. It’s Friday which is really just another day. Today would also have been the first day out of lockdown before it was extended and suddenly it all seems a bit much. I’ll talk more about it later but if it is all giving you some feels to, I’m thinking of you. Reach out if you want to.
It’s time for the next instalment of My polish, your plate. Joyce and I will be challenging each other every first and third Friday of the month. One of us will pick the stamping plate and the other will pick the polish. If we don’t have the exact same polish / plate it can be substituted for something similar. This choice will be made by the person who picked. From there it is free reign as long as the polish and the image on the plate is main focus.
This week it was my turn to choose the plate. I chose Pueen112 (the flower image) and Joyce chose the polish. She chose ILNP – Paige.
Before I show you what I created with this I just want to run through a few things quickly. Just before I started with this nail art I noticed that my nail was starting to break so I knew I had to do a lot of nail art quickly. That way I could get as much done as possible before it inevitably broke. That combined with the lockdown really getting in my head I am going to scale back a little with posts. I am going to continue with Monday posts and any challenge posts that seem to land on Fridays for the next few weeks. Just for the next 2 weeks and then it should get back to normal.
I also did this nail art with reverse stamping on my middle and ring finger. Just before I take photos I wipe down my nails with lint free wipes and can you believe that the whole nail just wiped right off. Ugh! Anyway, let me show you what I did,
I started with 2 coats of ILNP – Paper route on my middle finger and 2 coats of ILNP – Paige on the rest of my nails. While that was drying I started with the stamping. I stamped using Pueen112 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then filled in the flowers using ILNP – Paige and the stems and leaves using ILNP – Bermuda breeze. I then applied this to my middle finger (and originally my ring finger too :/ ) I topcoated everything and that was that.
I actually wasn’t sure if the bigger leaves at the bottom was part of the flower or leaves so I rolled the dice on flower. What do you think? I wish I didn’t manage to ‘wipe’ off the flower from my ring finger because I definitely liked it more with more flowers. At the end the polish was just gorgeous so I didn’t really mind that much. I can wait to see what Joyce creates because I know she knocked it out of the park.
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Beautiful!! We obviously had the same idea about a lot of things, but I thought the big leaves were part of the plant ans not the flowers 😉
Booh on that wipe… it should learn not to attack pretty nails!
