Scaled Atlantis

Hi lovelies,

Phew what a week it has been.  I am so glad it is Friday. I am holding thumbs that it can only get better.

I tried something a little different, an idea that has been floating around in my head since I got the polish.  Let me show you,

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Atlantis.  This is the sparkliest, shiniest polish ever!  It totally freaked my camera out when I was trying to get a swatch. It’s absolutely gorgeous!  Once that was completely dry I used mermaid / scale nail vinyls on each nail.  I then did a sponged gradient over the vinyl using Essence – Splash and Revlon – Amethyst.  I then removed the vinyls and topcoated.  I really liked how it came out, I just wish I didn’t have such a hard time taking proper photos of it.  Truth be told I was feeling so miserable I probably didn’t try very hard :/  That just means I will have to use the polishes again.

What do you think?  I really liked the duochrome-ish gradient over the super sparkly glitter bomb of Atlantis. Anyway, have a stunning weekend and I will see you on the other side.
