Hi lovelies,
I hope you had a great weekend! It is still unbearably hot here and I spent the weekend melting. Let me just say, summer, you were great but I’ve had enough. Roll on cooler weather.
I have the Sinful Colors – Bare necessities collection to show you today. I have had this forever and only getting around to showing you now. Apologies. I do still see these in stores so don’t fret if you want or need any of these. Pop down to your Clicks 😉
Sinful Colors – Bare
Bare is a nude-ish pinky creme with a subtle micro shimmer. This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It has a good formula and I had no problems applying it. I wasn’t sure I liked the colour very much at first. In some lights in can look a little dark but the longer I wore it the more I liked it. A really great colour to pair with a bright.
Sinful Colors – Cupids Arrow
Cupids Arrow is a very light lilac jelly. This is 3 coats with no topcoat. It applied beautifully and has a gorgeous shine to it. This is perfect for jelly sandwiches. It is a really sheer jelly but super gorgeous. Definitely a favourite for me.
Sinful Colors – Easy Going
Easy Going is my favourite by FAR! This gorgeous creamy, peachy, pinky colour applies like a dream and you just need 2 coats. This is 2 with no topcoat. I am so in love with this polish that I might wear it forever. I also used it as a base here and I am sure you will see me use it many many times in the future. It is not white. If you want me to compare it to white let me know. In. Love. I believe this is also a good alternative to Essie – Fiji (not a dupe though). I’ll say it again. I looooooove Easy Going.
Sinful Colors – Heartfelt
Heartfelt is a beautiful pink creme. I have also come to realise my camera hates pinks. That makes my heart very sore, because PINK. Anyway, heartfelt is a little brighter than it appears in the photo. This is 2 coats with no topcoat and applied beautifully. Another favourite.
Sinful Colors – Poudre
Poudre is a peachy creme. This is 2 coats with no topcoat. When I opened my bottle I noticed that it must’ve been opened a few times before and also had loads of gunky polish all around the tip and in the lid. My polish was quite thick and even though it wasn’t as great to apply as the others it was still easy to work with. I at first thought it was because my bottle had clearly not been sealed well but I have noticed a few people saying the same thing. I added a few drops of thinner and it’s perfect. So if you find it a little too thick don’t be put off. With a smidge of thinner it is gorgeous.
Sinful Colors – Social Ladder
Social Ladder is a very very light pink (almost white) packed with shimmer. I couldn’t capture the shimmer perfectly on my nails but you can see it somewhat in the bottle. It is quite sheer so this is 3 coats and I can still see some VNL. If you have cinderalla (blue) or glass pink* (pink) then this is almost the lighter / whiter version of it. I think this will be great for layering. In fact this over Easy Going might just look stunning.
Sinful Colors – Tutu
How adorable is that name? Tutu is a very light pink jelly. This is 3 coats with no topcoat and is still quite sheer. It is really gorgeous though and will be great for sandwiches. It also reminds me of Essence – Sweet as Candy. Great application with a beautiful shine.
*Glass Pink is also in the Bare Necessities display but I have seen it on the shelf for ages. I bought it quite a while ago so I did not swatch it with this collection. If you do want to see it let me know and I will do it for you as well.
What do you think of this collection? It is a whole bunch of soft, subtle and pretty. I didn’t think I would like some of them as much as I do (I’m looking at you Easy Going and Cupids Arrow). Do any of them appeal to you?
Thanks for reading!
NailCentric
Spring is my favorite time to wear nude and off white shades. I like Bare the most.

Bare is absolutely stunning and it is strange that Easy Going is such a huge hit for me but oh well 😉

NEEEEEEEEEEED!!!! Each. And. EVERY one. Of. Those!
Michelle Roberts
hahaha you definitely do! 😉
acidicice
These are quite sheer for me, but if I had to pick a favourite I think it would be the same as yours. I’d like to ask for a comparison between Heartfelt and Tip Top Melting Marshmallows please 🙂

The sheer ones are jellies. So it makes sense why they are sheer. Comparison coming up 🙂
Luzanne Ashby (Pink Peonies)
Micheeeeeeelle! I need all of them except for Poudre!!! These colours are SO me! They’re like wedding inspired shades – love, love, LOVE!!

hahahahahahaha!!! Yes you’re 100% right, they look like a bridal collection. SO gorgeous, you won’t regret it. Poudre isn’t my favourite either but mostly because a) it feels like it doesn’t fit with this collection and b) the candy coated collection had a very similar shade.
Hope you find them ALL! 🙂
Siobhan
Oh my oh my! Sooooo many nice ones
Michelle Roberts
Hahahaha pretty choices too huh 😉

I like Bare and Easy Going. I am also quite sad that your camera doesn’t cooperate with pinks. Hello?! Doesn’t it know who its owner is? 😉

I can’t describe my love for easy going. It’s bizarre. I know right? My camera must be sick, I mean really, of all the colours! :/
Painted Fingertips
These aren’t the colours that would catch my eye on the shelf, but they look so great on! I obviously need to expand my selection 😉

Thanks Kerry. I agree with you. It wouldn’t necessarily be the first colours that will grab my eye but they are so gorgeous and so versatile.
