Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? Guess what? It’s the last week of August. Spring is upon us, summer around the corner. Before we know it it will be Christmas time. Eeek!
I was so happy when the post arrived the other day with a parcel slip in. I ordered these plates and it feels like they arrived in record time. Yay me!
There are 24 plates in this collection. They are numbered from 50 – 73. They are not individual images but the whole plate is etched with pattern so you can choose any section to transfer to your nails. I will show you the plates individually in a minute so you can see exactly what I mean. Size wise the plates are exactly the same size as the previous Pueen plates I have shown you. You can see the first Pueen set here or the Love Elements Pueen plates here. You can buy these plates directly from pueen.
Each plate comes covered in a blue protective film as usual. You just pull it off before you use the plates.
What I really love about the Pueen plates in general is that each set you buy comes with a little plate holder. Previously I got square ones but these are round.
I have big holders that hold many plates so I don’t use these small ones but they are really handy and it’s great that the plates come with a holder. Alrighty, Let me show you the plates. I will show them to you in order and you can see the number of the plate at the bottom ( for example PUEEN50, PUEEN61 etc). I apologise that you can see part of my camera and sometimes my fingers in the reflection on the plate. These things are SO hard to photograph because they are so reflective but I think you can still see the plate well.
Love these geometric designs!
How cool is that top right pattern. Love it.
I really like the reverse images on this plate
I really like this plate. The ‘rainbow’ like pattern on the top right is stunning and all the notes too.
This is so cute. It looks like stamps. You know the old fashion stampers you used with ink?
So many great patterns here.
Aaalll the hearts!
The girls face here really appeals to me but I think it is too big to fit on my nail. I will have to make a plan 😉
I think I have been most excited for this plate. I have this idea and I have never been able to do it. Now I can! I love that some flowers are almost the reverse of others.
That’s it! Which one is your favourite?
Of course you know I had to use these plates immediately! I already had polish on my nails that was planned for something else but I ended up using it to stamp with. It’s not the most genius but I liked it.
I used Essence – Dare it nude as a base colour and stamped and accented with Essence – Do you speak love? and Pueen63. And just because this post is already so pic heavy, here are the swatches for these two polishes as well.
Essence – Dare it nude
2 coats of pure beauty, no topcoat. I love this nude and this is a great formula and great opacity.
Essence – Do you speak love?
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. Great formula and opacity. I love that this is a slightly darker red. And it stamps like a champ!
After the little use I have had of these plates I am super impressed and happy. They are etched nice and deep and the images come out beautifully. I love the versatility of the not only the images provided but also how you can choose any piece of any plate to make an image.
Which plate/s are your favourite? Do you have this set? What do you think?
