Hi lovelies,
Happy Friday! Are you happy the weekend is upon us? I always enjoy weekends but this week has been good so I don’t mind it that much 🙂
I mentioned the other day that the inspiration has been a bit low and I have been hinting at wanting to do more stamping so I really hope you don’t mind all the stamping posts. I love stamping and I tend to not do too much because of the whole ‘it’s not real nail art’ thing. I say to heck with that, stamping is awesome! So today, a stamped gradient.
I started with 2 coats of Tip Top – Hot fudge on my ring finger. I then did a sponged gradient using China Glaze – Dance baby and China Glaze – Peachy keen on all my other nails. Once that was all completely dry I stamped over the gradient using Tip Top – Hot fudge and Pueen65. In hindsight I wish there was a bit more contrast between the stamping and the gradient. I initially wanted to use another polish to stamp with but in the bottle hot fudge looked exactly like the colour I was going for. It still looks ok though.
What do you think?
I could’ve sworn I have already shown you Tip Top – Hod fudge but I can’t seem to find a swatch of it. I will definitely swatch it the next time I use it. In the mean time, here are the other two.
China Glaze – Dance baby
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. Stunning formula and opacity. I also know it stamps well because I have done a Tuesday Stamping post on it before. Definitely a firm favourite.
China Glaze – Peachy keen
This is also 2 coats with no topcoat. This was actually the first time I used it and I love it. It’s beautifully opaque and great formula and such a stunning colour. Almost like a bright pastel. Beautiful.
Let me know what you think and if you would’ve done anything differently. Maybe used different colours? Have a lovely weekend folks and see you on Monday!
Thanks for reading,
Is Hot Fudge an old or new TT? It’s so pretty! Love it!
I love the mani in whole! So summery and sweet! Then you got the booming stamping!
Thanks so much V! It must be an old one because I’ve had for ages. 🙂
Wow!! I love the stamped colour – it is classy
The gradient is gorgeous! I wish I could pull off peachy pastel shades :c
