PPSANailChallenge week 1 – Unicorn

Hi lovelies,

It is double post day.  After the treat of Blogger of the Month I am going to give you a bit of a fail.

If you don’t follow me on Facebook or Instagram and you didn’t see this post, let me tell you a bit about this challenge.  The Polished Pretties SA Facebook group has made a 5 week challenge for anyone to take part in.  As you know, we do our monthly Nail Anarchy posts but we wanted to do a challenge for everyone.  So we came up with some prompts and made it pretty easy with only 2 prompts a week.  This is the first prompt.  So let me show you.

Unicorn

I started with a gradient base.  I used China Glaze – Lemon fizz, China Glaze – Something sweet, China Glaze – Refresh-mint, China Glaze – Peachy keen, China Glaze – Light as air and Sinful Colors – Sugar rush.  I sponged them all on over a white base. On my ring finger I added INM Northern Lights for a bit of sparkle.  On my pinky, ring and index I added 1 coat of Dollish Polish – a unicorn farted in my polish.  Which is the best polish, the best name EVER! 😛 On my index and middle I had made a unicorn horn out of acrylic and made it go across the 2 nails.  I had hoped it would be a little more sparkly than it was but I still think it came out ok.  On my ring finger I used a unicorn nail jewel from Nail Candi (this was a gift from Sam).  I really wanted to do more than one but my freehand unicorn was a bit of a fail so I went with the one option of just using a whole bunch of Unicorn stuffs.

Of course, the Dollish Polish has some UV glitter so I had to try my hand at a blacklight photo as well

I am still learning how to take proper UV blacklight photos but this isn’t too bad to show you how gorgeous a Unicorn farted in my polish is under UV light.  Especially in the bottle.
