Sinful Colors – Class Act: Chalkboard diaries collection

Hi lovelies,

I’m baaaaack!  I hope you had a fabulous festive season and a holiday to remember.  For many people, today means back to work and normal routine.  If you’re still on holiday i hope you make the most of it.  I thought I would ease back into the busy schedule with a light load week. 😉

The NAILLinkup prompt for this week is ‘Anything New’ so I thought I would spend the whole week showing you some new polishes with some nail art in-between.  Today I am showing you the Sinful Colors – Class act: Chalkboard diaries collection.  These are all ‘demi-mattes’ and although the colours aren’t really new, the finishes are.  Just a note.  I chipped a nail halfway through swatching and I didn’t want to cut my nails and have uneven nail lengths while swatching a collection. I thought I would be able to hide it but surprise surprise, I didn’t.  10 points for noticing when it happened :/

Sinful Colors – A-Crush

This is 2 coats with no topcoat of this light blue, semi matte creme.  The formula was good and the opacity not bad.  It had a little bit more shine to it than most of the others but still passed as ‘demi matte’ for me.

Sinful Colors – Chalk it up

This is 2 coats with no topcoat of this light green, semi matte creme.  The formula was good and this is also one of the most opaque ones.  I got almost complete full coverage in one coat.

Sinful Colors – Hazed

This is 2 coats with no topcoat of this grape purple, semi matte creme.  The formula was good and the opacity not bad at all.  I thought it would be more opaque considering Chalk it up was so opaque and this was a darker colour but it wasn’t bad at all.  2 coats still gave me completely coverage.

Sinful Colors – RADiant

This is 2 coats with no topcoat.  This is a berry pink shade (did I mention my camera hate pink?) This one had almost a jelly like finish.  It was quite sheer and with a topcoat it looked super squishy.  Good formula though.

Sinful Colors – Truth or lavendare

This is 2 coats with no topcoat.  A soft lilac semi matte creme.  This one is possibly my favourite.  Very opaque and great formula.  It helps that the name is quite cute too.

Sinful Colors – V.I.Peach

This is 3 coats with no topcoat.  I have no idea why the name has peach in it.  This is a yellow semi matte creme. The formula was a bit difficult to work with but I do love the ‘demi matte’ finish.  My advise is to wait a bit more between coats and take your time.  Once I slowed down the application became much easier.  it’s not ideal, but it is workable.

The black (Sinful Colors – black on black) and white (Sinful Colors – Snow me white) was also part of this collection.  These 2 polishes have been difficult to find so it was great to have the opportunity to stock up again.  What do you think of this collection?  Like I mentioned, the colours aren’t really very new or different but the finishes are.  Let me know if you would like to see any comparisons with these.  I am in need of doing some comparisons again 😉
