Hello lovelies.
It’s Friday! How has your week been? It has been a bit of a long week actually. On the bright side, it feels like the warmer weather is sneaking in. I don’t really know how I feel about it. This winter has been super cold and I have been very sick but when it’s hot it’s going to be very hot. I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet 😛
I picked up this cute mini box set from the Morgan Taylor Winter Garden collection. The collection consists of lots of pinks so of course it grabbed my attention but I was very surprised by one not so obviously pink. Let me show you
Morgan Taylor – Don’t pansy around
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a bright bubblegum pink creme in a shade of pink that my camera hates. The formula was really great and the opacity was fabulous too.
Morgan Taylor – Rose-y cheeks
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. I was really surprised by this one. I wasn’t sure if I would like it colour wise or finish wise. It’s such a soft peachy pink colour but it has a beautiful blue / pink shimmer that makes it glow! The formula wasn’t great but it wasn’t terrible. It’s a little sheer and you can see here with 2 coats that there is a little bit of VNL. It’s really soft and delicate though.
Morgan Taylor – Warm up the car-nation
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. It’s a really pretty pink /red packed with shimmer. The formula was great and it’s almost a one coater too. This is a beaut!
Morgan Taylor – What’s your poinsettia
This is 2 coats with no topcoat. I only saw afterwards that I had bumped my ring finger. This is a beautiful red packed with red shimmer. Unfortunately it is one of those shades that turns brown red on me after a while of wearing it. It is absolutely stunning in it’s red shade though. I am aware that it just doesn’t agree with my skin tone to keep it looking red so it doesn’t change the beauty of this polish. Formula and opacity are both stunning.
Which one is your favourite? Do you have any of the polishes in this collection? I must say I am really impressed with the mini bottles of Morgan Taylor. The brushes are great and it doesn’t feel like I am using a small little bottle of polish. Well done Morgan Taylor! I think Warm up the car-nation might be my favourite but I really like the softness of Rose-y cheeks.
