31DC2016 Day 27: Inspired by artwork

Hello lovelies,

Is it just me or was Monday about 3 weeks long? 😉 I feel all motivated and energised which means of course that I am trying to do 16 things at the same time.  I don’t even care though.  The challenge is almost done, my cousin is coming in just over a week and I have a few things up my sleeve for the shop too.

There are SO many artworks to chose from but I decided to go with the most important artwork of all time.  Done by the most important person.

I chose a painting done by Wian himself.  The cutest, smartest 2 year old with mad skills! Let me show you what I did

I  knew there was no way I would be able to recreate the patterns he made or be able to mix the colours just right so I decided to stick mainly to the colour scheme.  I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Snow me white and let that dry.  I then used Essence – Beijos de Brazil and Essence – Electriiiiiic to do dry brush strokes in every random direction I could.  I have not done this before and I had so much fun doing it. I wanted to stop way earlier but looking at the artwork I knew I had to carry on a bit more.  Finally I topcoated and done!

What do you think?  I really like how it came out.  I hope it is clear where the inspiration came from. I can’t wait to try this technique again.  Ahhh the ideas!  Keep an eye on the InLinkz thingum below to see more inspired by artwork nail art.
