Are you having a good week so far? After last week feeling like the week was flying, this week is crawling. I am feeling a bit under the weather and I am hoping it isn’t a sign of some bug or cold coming my way. I feel like I could sleep for a week.
Last year I showed you the Dollish Polish Ultimate Fandom collection and today I am showing you part deux (part 2). This is also a big collection so I am limiting the photos again. You can buy the complete collection in full size here or in mini size here. Both of these options gives you the bonus shade free. Or you can visit the shop and choose the ones you want. Let me show you the polishes and the inspiration starting with the bonus shade.
Dollish Polish – The status is NOT quo
Fandom: Dr Horrible’s sing-along blog (inspired by Dr Horrible and his need for change)
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a gold shimmer with gold flakes, shreds and micro glitter. I thought at first that this would be more of a topper but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The polish was a bit on the thicker side but still easy enough to apply. The flakes and shreds are dense enough to create quite some coverage on their own but the shimmer and micro glitter is just as dense. This was so much more beautiful than I expected. It’s really beautiful. Let me give you a closer look.
Dollish Polish – Can I touch your mango?
Fandom: The Mortal Instruments (Inspired by one of the best pick-up lines ever)
This is 1 coat over Essence – Gossip girl with topcoat. This is white, yellow, orange and coral glitter in all shapes and sizes with a hint of green glitter and shards. The description describes the glitters as ‘peach, mango and coral glitters’ and I think it is very apt. This is a glitter topper in a clear base when I think of a mango, these are the colours I think of. The formula is fabulous and it applied beautifully. I had no issues getting the glitter to cover the whole nail. This is a fantastic glitter topper and the colours look fabulous together. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – Frakkin’ toasters
Fandom: Battlestar Galactica (Inspired by the Cylon robots)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It’s a metallic silver with scattered holo. The photo above is taken in the sun and you can see the scattered holo. I have a photo from my lightbox and you can see the metallic silver of it but not so much the holo.
The formula is stunning and the opacity is great. It’s almost a one coater. I love that the metallic silver part is pretty and the holo part is pretty. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – I am the one who knocks
Fandom: Breaking bad ( Inspired by Walter & Jessie’s infamous blue meth)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a light blue crelly base packed with different shades of blue small glitter. The formula is fab and it applied beautifully. I love the varying shades of blue and the depth with the layers. I am a big fan of this one. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – I threw my pie for you
Fandom: Orange is the new black (Inspired by Crazy Eyes and her infamous pie throwing incident for “Dandelion” aka Piper)
This is 3 coats with topcoat. This is a grape purple jelly packed with different shape and shades of purples glitter and blue glitter. The polish was a little thick so I waited a bit between coats. It reminded me a bit of real pie filling in consistency but it is beyond beautiful and I will apply this with a spoon as long as I can wear it. I might be inclined to layer it over a purple creme next time. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – I want to believe
Fandom: The X-Files (Inspired by Mulder and his desire to learn the truth)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a light grey crelly with chunks of rainbow flakes and green and blue micro glitter. My swatch does not look like the swatch photo in the store but this is so beautiful I don’t even have words. Beautiful formula, applied like a dream and left me staring at my nails for hours. This has got to be the most unique and most beautiful ever! Let me give you a closer look
The glitter looks almost like an instagram filter. I wanted to give you another view to show you how it really shines so here is a different angle
Dollish Polish – On Wednesdays we wear black
Fandom: American horror story (Inspired by the coven of witches motto)
On my index is 3 coats and on the rest of my nails is 1 coat over Essence – Gossip girl, with topcoat. This is a clear base with dense black and silver holo micro glitter and bigger silver holo glitter. I have seen swatches of this polish worn on it’s own so I tried that on my index finger with 3 coats. On the photo I can see my nail but in real life it actually had really good coverage and I could probably get away with 3 coats on their own. As a topper though it is as beautiful. and one coat gives more than enough coverage. The formula was stunning and it was so easy to apply, both as a topper and on its own. Once this polish hits the light it really shines. Let me give you a closer look at both options.
Dollish Polish – One choice
Fandom: Divergent (Inspired by the 5 factions)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. It is a white crelly with red, blue, black and yellow matte glitter. This is a stunning formula with great coverage. It applied beautifully and I really love this polish. The simplicity of the colours (it’s not a unique combination) but the shapes and sizes and the stunning formula just makes it. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – Seaweed brain
Fandom: Percy Jackson (Inspired by Annabeth’s endearing nickname for Percy)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a green/teal base packed with shades of green and turquoise glitter and flakes. The formula and opacity of this one is top notch but it was near impossible to get any photo to really give it justice. It is crazy beautiful. There are some dark green micro glitters in here that really make it pop but I didn’t get too many of them to show up. This is every green or teal lovers dream polish. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – Slice of life
Fandom: Dexter (Inspired by our favorite serial killer & named after his boat)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a deep red base with magenta, red and purple glitter and glass flecks. The formula is great and it also has a nice opacity. This is such a beautiful colour just made more stunning by the glitter and glass flecks. Let me give you a closer look.
Dollish Polish – So long & thanks for all the fish
Fandom: The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy (Inspired by Hitchhiker’s glorious opening song)
This is 3 coats with topcoat. It’s a aqua blue crelly with a blue shimmer flash and packed with different shapes and shades of blue and green ocean glitters and a few purple ones too. The formula on this is really nice but it is a bit on the sheer side. I would probably layer it over a light blue next time. The glitters are just stunning and it really does look like the ocean. I love the spread of glitter too and when applying the glitter had great coverage. Let me give you a closer look
Dollish Polish – There’s only one of me
Fandom: Orphan Black (Inspired by Orphan Black and in particular, Sarah Manning)
This is 2 coats with topcoat. This is a dark blue/purple with blue and purple glitter and rainbow micro flakies. This one…..it’s a beaut. The formula is fantastic and it’s almost a one coater. The depth and shimmer of this polish had me staring at my nails non stop. I fell in love with this one. Let me give you a closer look
That’s it! The whole collection. What do you think? Which one is your favourite? It’s almost impossible for me to choose a favourite because I love them all in some way but ‘I want to believe’ is really special. I am not really disappointed in any of them even though some had trickier formulas than others. They are all beautiful. What a fun collection, just what I expect from Dollish Polish.
