Did you have a good weekend? It was gloriously cool and relaxing which is exactly what was needed. If you follow me on IG you would also know I picked up a whole bunch of new goodies over the weekend and I can’t wait to play. I wish my nails would just grow little faster after the break but who can resist the pretty right? What did you get up to?
Time for another week of #52weeknailchallenge hosted by Polish Portfolio. As always, you can follow this # to see what other people are creating and you can find the list of prompts for this year below.
The prompt this week is zodiac and boy oh boy did it throw me for a loop. I know my zodiac sign but I don’t really know much more about zodiac or zodiac sign. So of course, I went with the easiest thing I could think of. Let me show you what I did
I started with 2 coats of piCture pOlish – Nebula on all my nails and left that to dry completely. I then broke off little pieces of a sponge and used Sinful Colors – Snow me white and Sinful Colors – Dream on to sponge on little bits of colour in carious places on my nails. Once everything was completely dry I went to work with stamping. On my index and pinky I stamped a moon and star image using Konad 23 and Mundo de Unas – white. On my ring finger I stamped the Virgo sign (my star sign) and on my middle finger I stamped the Virgo constellation. For both I used the Konad 23 plate and Mundo de Unad – White. I topcoated everything and that was that.
I actually initially tried to freehand the virgo sign and constellation but I wasn’t happy with the results, so I removed it. After another 20 tries I realised that the first try was the best one and that I was not going to get anywhere trying to freehand it. Luckily I was able to get my hands on this plate and it saved me from having to go with Nebula for this prompt 😉 What do you think? What is your zodiac sign? What would you have done for this prompt?
