Hello hey hi,
How has your week been going? Mine has been pretty busy and productive. I am feeling a little weighed down but all the chaos around us at the moment. As a country there just seems to be so much violence and hurt and law breaking. It’s breaking my heart to see so many people in fear or pain or anger. Anyway, I wish there was something I could do. Other than that, it is a short week with Friday being a public holiday. I am most excited. Not only is Friday a holiday but so is next week Tuesday. Of course, the smart thing to do was to take Monday off so basically there is almost a week holiday for us. I am so excited. I have thoroughly enjoy it because the public holidays get very few and far between after this so yay us!
Weeks ago I found these super cute little Sally Girl polishes in Dischem and I just loved the combinations. One polish in particular really caught my eye so I knew I wanted to use it first. Then I walked past another polish and I could see these two polishes work together and what do you know, an idea was born. Let me show you what I did
I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Just a little embellishment on my pinky and index and 3 coats of Sally Girl – So re-leafed on my middle and ring finger. While that was drying I started with the decals on my stampers. I stamped using Lina – Let’s doodle 02 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then coloured in some of the flowers using China Glaze – Just a little embellishment and China Glaze – Emerald bae but I left some of the flowers empty so the base can shine through. Once everything was dry I applied the stamping to my middle and ring fingers and then topcoated. I was inspired by the matte finish of Just a little embellishment so I knew I wanted to keep it matte. I finished off with a matte topcoat and voila!
I really like the colours and glitter in So re-leafed. It’s an unusual combination and I really enjoy the darker greens / teals paired with it. Just a little embellishment is so ridiculously gorgeous. I am going to swatch it soon (nursing a break means I change polish as little as possible unfortunately) but the matte finish and the beautiful colour is just amazing! What do you think? Have you used Sally Girl polishes? I have grabbed quite a few and I am excited to use them. So far I am really impressed with them. They’re tiny…..but they’re mighty 😉 Do you have the China Glaze polish?
Thanks for reading,
Joyce
Ohhhhhhhhhhh… could you add that polish to the stash you’re collecting for me? I love it! Your nails look absolutely beautiful with the matching colors 🙂
