May Nail Anarchy challenge – Your favourite character

Hi lovelies,

Happy Friday! It’s Nail Anarchy challenge time again.  Can you believe this month has gone so fast? I am out and about again today but yay for weekend right?

This month was Briget’s turn and she chose..Your favourite character from a movie, TV series, cartoon, comic, book, anything! The possibilities are totally endless and I have SO many favourites but I do have one that immediately came to mind.  Of course, I had a lot of ideas but not all really came to fruition unfortunately.

I chose to go with Abby Sciuto from NCIS.  Not only do I love her character she is also unique and different and easily recognisable – I think.  So let me show you.

Alrighty,  I started with a base of Sinful Colors – Easy going on all my nails.  Mostly because I thought it matched her porcelain skintone.  On my pinky I stamped using Born Pretty Store stamping polish in black and BM-H07.  This of course represents her tattoo on her neck.  It’s one of my favourite things.  I obviously love tattoos but I am not nearly brave enough to get one on my neck so I live vicariously through her character :D.  On my ring finger I stamped the the DNA strand thingy using BM409 and OPI – Live, Love, Carnaval and over that I stamped the caution tape using Born pretty store stamping polish in black and BM 421.  This represents her work of course.  Analysing DNA, working with dangerous chemicals and stuffs etc ec etc.  She’s a pretty cool chick isn’t she! 😉 On my ring finger I stamped the red lips using BM303 and Charlie – Red lights.  I then roped in Briget to make the black hair ponytails for me out of acrylic.  She was visiting one day playing with acrylic and while I made lunch she whipped these up for me.  She rocks it! Thanks B!  This naturally represents her epic hairstyle and red lips.  On my index I used this tutorial from Adventures in Acetone to make the hippo.  The lighter grey is Sinful Colors – Cool grey and the darker grey is China Glaze – Recycle. This represents ‘Bert the farting hippo”.  He is not only ridiculously cute but also Abby’s comfort spot.  And that is that.

I was a little unsure of this.  It looked so different in my head when I was planning it.  What do you think? I also have a swatch for you

Sinful Colors – Easy going

This is 2 coats with no topcoat.  It’s such a beautiful neutral colour with a really great formula too.
