52 week nail art challenge – Week 20: Half-moon

Hello lovelies,

Did you have a good weekend? It was freezing and rainy here. It was lovely! I could do without the rain but I won’t complain too much. I am loving the cool weather. We also got a new puppy. If you follow me on IG you would’ve seen her. Her name is Willow and she is the cutest, fluffiest little chow in the world. I also had cake! Now who can complain about such a glorious weekend right?

We are 20 weeks in on the #52weeknailchallenge from Polish Portfolio. This challenge is similar to the 31 Day challenge except this is one prompt for every week of the year. 20 weeks you guys! I am most impressed! The prompt today is half-moons. I have a proper love-hate relationship with half moons. It’s easy to stick to the traditional half moons but I always like to shake it up a bit. Let me show you what I did.

I started with 2 coats of China Glaze – Nice caboose! on all my nails. Once it was completely dry I stamped using BM324 and Mundo de Unas – Copper. I topcoated and that was that. It really feels like this was too easy but I do love how it turned out. That counts right?

What do you think? Like I said, I like it. I really like the colours together and I also like the flowerish half moon. It actually makes me think of flower crowns. I also have a swatch for you

China Glaze – Nice Caboose!

This is 2 coats with no topcoat. This is a magenta purple, plum with a pink shimmer. The shimmer is quite subtle but if you get it in the sun it is breathtaking. This has a really nice, easy to apply formula and was actually quite opaque. I’ve had this one for a while and I am not sure why I haven’t used it. I really like the colour and add the shimmer, it’s a beaut. Not to mention, perfect for this time of year. Let me give you a closer look
