Happy Friday! I am so happy it is weekend. I am not sure what makes weekend any different. Maybe because I can be lazy guilt free and actually do nothing. Do you have any fun plans? I am hoping that from next week everything goes back to normal for me so hold thumbs!
I have another item from Born Pretty Store to show you today. As you know, they have a great supply of nail art goodies and today I am showing you another pigment powder. I have the holographic chameleon nail flakies in colour variance #4 so let me jump right in.
I started with 2 coats of Sinful Colors – Black and left that to dry completely. Once it was dry I applied the flakies with a fan brush to my index, middle and pinky. On my ring finger I applied the flakies with the sponge provided the same way you would apply chrome pigment powder. I topcoated it all with gel topcoat, cured and that was that.
I wanted to show the versatile of these flakies by using them both ways. The flakies apply like any flakies. They are a good size, not too small, not too big. The shift from blue to purple shows up beautifully too. The holo particles are smaller so not as obvious as on the ring finger but definitely makes a difference in the right light. On my ring finger, it also plaid easily and with a great shift from blue to purple. The holo is much more prominent and visible like this too. I really like these flakies that can be dual purpose and beautiful either way. I am really loving flakies lately so that really appeals to me. I wanted to some stamping on my ring finger and then see what happens when I mattify it. Let me show you,
I stamped on my ring finger using Lina – Feeling Shapely 04 and Mundo de Unas – Black. I then used a matte topcoat and that was that. I really like the matte look for the flakies. The ring finger lost a lot of the holo but it’s still beautiful.
Have you tried this powder yet? I love the combination of flakes and powder AND holo and chrome. It also comes in so many colours you really are spoilt for choice. If you want to grab this powder – or anything else – don’t forget to use my discount code below to get 10% off.
